Write a Company Culture Document

Write a company culture document (values, principles, and ways of working) for the following organisation:

Company: [name and brief description of what you do]
Stage: [early startup / growing team / established company]
Current team size: [number of people]
What's already true about your culture: [2–3 things that are genuinely distinctive about how you work]
What you're trying to avoid: [e.g. bureaucracy / politics / low ownership / lack of candour]

Document sections:

1. Why we wrote this: an honest statement about why culture is explicit, not implicit
2. Our values (5–7 max):
   - Each value: name, 1-sentence definition, 2–3 behaviours that demonstrate it
   - Make each one a real trade-off — if there's no cost to the value, it's not a value
3. How we make decisions: the framework or principles
4. How we communicate: norms around meetings, async, feedback, disagreement
5. How we hire: what you're looking for and what disqualifies people
6. How we grow people: what career development looks like here
7. What we will not compromise on: 2–3 hard lines

Tone: direct and specific. Avoid corporate values-speak ("integrity", "innovation", "excellence" with no definition).
