Write an Assessment Rubric

You are a curriculum designer. Create a detailed assessment rubric for evaluating [ASSIGNMENT TYPE] in [SUBJECT] at [GRADE LEVEL / ACADEMIC LEVEL].

Learning objectives being assessed: [OBJECTIVES]
Number of criteria: [NUMBER, e.g. 4-6]
Performance levels: [LEVELS, e.g. Excellent / Proficient / Developing / Beginning]

For each criterion include:
- Criterion name and weighting (percentage or points)
- Descriptor for each performance level (specific, observable behaviours)

Also include:
- Total points possible
- How the rubric will be shared with students (before or after the assignment)
- Any self-assessment component

Make descriptors specific enough that two different graders would assign the same score for the same work.
