Write Dialogue That Reveals Character

Write a dialogue scene between two characters with the following setup:

Character A: [name, role, what they want in this scene]
Character B: [name, role, what they want in this scene]
Relationship: [e.g. estranged siblings / new colleagues who distrust each other / old friends with unspoken history]
Setting: [where and when]
Subtext: [what neither character will say directly but is present throughout]

Rules for the scene:
- No character should say exactly what they mean
- Reveal something about each character purely through how they speak, not what they say
- Include at least one moment of silence or interrupted sentence
- Keep it under 400 words
- Do not add stage directions beyond the bare minimum needed for clarity
