Write a complete piece of microfiction — a fully realised story in under 100 words.

Prompt elements:
- Opening image or line: [e.g. "She found the letter in her mother's coat" / give me something to work with, or leave blank for full creative freedom]
- Genre / mood: [e.g. melancholy / eerie / tender / darkly comic]
- One constraint to follow: [e.g. must end with a question / the twist must be in the last sentence / no dialogue allowed / the setting must change once]

Requirements:
- Every word must earn its place — no filler
- The story must have a beginning, middle, and end — even if compressed
- The ending should recontextualise something from the opening
- Leave something unsaid that the reader will carry with them
